HomeAid Sacramento Announces My Sister's House Remodel Dedication

My Sister's House in Sacramento to be dedicated on August 15th
 
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Aug. 15, 2018 - PRLog -- My Sister's House in Sacramento is the latest remodel project completed by HomeAid Sacramento, to be dedicated on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.  The remodel of the organization's staff offices and training facility was led by HomeAid Builder Captains, Hallmark Building and Development and Kenton Russell Architect.

"My Sister's House fills a very important role in our community, supporting underserved women and children from Asian, Pacific Island and other communities," said Beth Kang, Executive Director for HomeAid Sacramento. "It is HomeAid's privilege to bring new life to the facility serving as a safe haven with job training and many community services.  My Sister's House is a valued nonprofit beneficiary that HomeAid is pleased to support."

The retail value of the remodel is reported to be $39,000 with an in-kind value of over $19,897.  The project was generously funded by SMUD, The Harry C. and Deborah L. Elliott Foundation, Rabobank, N.A. and Sacramento Association of Realtors, US Bank, Up John Foundation and HomeAid Builds. Trade partners supporting the project include Timberlake Cabinets, RDS Design Services, Dal Tile, MOVA Stone, JB Electric, Gold River Flooring, Production Framing, S & G Drywall, Fletcher Plumbing and West Window Fashions. "New flooring, window coverings, cabinets, countertops, paint, artwork, accessories and more give the facility a whole new look!" said Nilda Valmores, Executive Director for My Sister's House.  "We are very amazed and grateful for the refreshed environment that goes a long way in adding to the feeling of stability we are trying to create at the facility."
