Annual Athol Hospital Golf Classic Raises $40K for New Emergency Department & Medical Office Buildi

GARDNER, Mass. - Aug. 14, 2018 - PRLog -- Athol Hospital's Golf Classic, held on August 8th at the Ellinwood Country Club, raised $40,000 to help fund the construction of a new Emergency Department (ED) and Medical Office Building (MOB), addressing significant space constraints and providing patients with the highest quality emergency, behavioral health, and primary and specialty healthcare, in a state-of- the-art setting.

The planned ED construction will provide more spacious treatment rooms, to include a separate treatment area for behavioral health patients and will improve efficiency, optimizing the patient experience, while the new MOB will provide additional office space for primary, specialty and behavioral health providers.

All winning teams and contest hole winners were awarded gift certificates to the Ellinwood Country Club Pro Shop, with the first place team in the scoring a 56, turned in by the team from Ultrabenefits: Roy Lake, Ken Lombardi, Nick Lombardi, and Phil Soule. Following in second place with a score of 59 were Tim Hubbard, Tina Santos, Frank Yavorosky and Frank Yavorosky, Jr. of the Chair Town Lumber Team. Third was the team from AdCasre comprised of Dr. Michael Azzoni, David Hillis, Jeff Hillis and Dr. Saurabh Sharma, also with a score of 59. This year's newly added women's category was taken by the team from GVNA Healthcare, with Patty Bean, Dawn Casavant, Dale Dellechiaie and Kristin Mattson scoring 71.

Closest to the pin awards were picked off by John Kasper and Ken Smardon while the honors of longest drive were awarded to Dawn Casavant and Don Williams.

This year's tournament Masters Sponsors included Hub International and SMRT Architects and Engineers, P.C. Eagle Sponsors were Athol Savings Bank, Charles M. Moran Plumbing & Heating, Inc., Colliers International, Fallon Health Care and Ideal Fire Protection, Inc. Lunch for the golfers was sponsored by Castine Movers, The MEC Companies and The Nottleson Family.
