RAMONA, Calif. - Aug. 13, 2018 - PRLog -- released the Alpha version of their platform on 8/3/18. Boid's mission is to democratize the adoption of distributed computing and blockchain technologies by allowing anyone to contribute with their devices spare computing resources, generating rewards for themselves or their preferred charity in a social and cooperative community.

Pool Computing for Good Users download the Boid app on their PCs and make part of their CPU and GPU available to scientific research projects with the platform. Leaderboards highlighting top contributors make competitions fierce and user engagement high.

John Heeter, the Founder and CTO of Boid notes: "We are thrilled to have Texans for Cures as our first charitable recipient of the Boid project. David and his team at Texans for Cures are funding clinical trials for cutting edge regenerative and stem cell research. Boid is proud to be part of this effort to help so many."

With a single account a Boid member can become a part of a "social supercomputer" allowing users to be part of something big. Users will earn Power for all of their contributions from multiple devices if they wish. Boid Power can be donated to research projects, it can be spent in the Boid Marketplace or converted into cryptocurrency.  Charitable organizations now have a new and leading edge way for their supporters to contribute to important causes while creating engaging and deeper relationships via Boid's social component. Live streaming telethons and fundraising competitions are just a few ways to utilize Boid.
