Pruvo is a free automatic online service that takes an existing hotel reservation from any website, hotel or travel agency, tracks its price 24/7 and alerts the user once there is a better deal for the exact room within the same dates the user had already booked.

While well-known platforms like Booking, Expedia, Hotels.com etc are good at showing you the best price available at the moment of booking, Pruvo tracks price drops that occur after the booking was made, and notifies the customer so that they can obtain the same room at a cheaper price

How does it work?

Studies show that on average, 42% of all hotel reservationsexperience a price dropafter the initial reservation was made. Price drops can reach up to 72% of the total amount of the reservation. While tracking price drops manually can be a time-consuming task, Pruvo uses sophisticated algorithms to track the price drops of hotel reservations automatically, and notifies the customer once a better price has been found for the exact same reservation.

The best part is that it´s free and the only requirement is for the reservation to be a free cancellation reservation.

After re-booking the hotel room at the lower price, the customer cancels their original, more expensive reservation.

As of August 10 2018, Pruvo has saved US$1,200,000 for their customers on their hotel costs.

Why do prices drop after reserving?

There are various reasons, but the main ones are:

1.       Supply and Demand – the hotel would rather fill up the last rooms at a cheaper price, then have them empty.

2.       Fierce competition between the two industry giants, Priceline and Expedia.

So where is the catch?
