Follow on Google News | Design Moves to the Forefront of This Year's WordCamp OmahaWordCamp Omaha has partnered with AIGA Nebraska to deliver an in-depth User Interface/User Experience design panel to help WordPress users leverage intuitive layout strategies and deliver a fine-tuned user experience.
By: WordCamp Omaha WordCamps are community-based events for users of the most popular content management system in the world, WordPress. WordCamp Omaha attracts small business owners, non-profit leaders, bloggers, designers, developers, and professional content writers from throughout the Midwest and beyond. WordPress is also nearing its release of a new editor, called Gutenberg, for the first time since it was created over 15 years ago. Designing post content easily, effectively, and efficiently has never been more important. With this in mind, WordCamp Omaha 2018 includes a three-hour Gutenberg Development workshop, led by Zac Gordon, a well-known WordPress educator. Attendees will learn how to customize and extend the functionality of this new editor, enabling them to fine-tune this experience for any type and style of content creation. This year's WordCamp Omaha will also include: • 21 individual 1-hour sessions (more than any previous year) covering a very wide range of useful topics for programers/developers, small businesses, marketing professionals, and beginner users. • Avariety of freebies including: a shirt, random swag, a light breakfast, lunch, an open help desk to get 1-on-1 help with your project/site, and a private after-party at Beercade. "We're really excited about WordCamp Omaha 2018," says Rob Ruiz – this year's lead organizer of the event. "Our team has worked really hard to make this the most valuable and memorable one to date. We have more speakers, more sponsorship, just more community support in general than ever before." This 5th Annual WordCamp Omaha will be August 25-26, 2018, with a full day of sessions on Saturday, August 25, and a half day of sessions on Sunday, August 26 at University of Nebraska Omaha's Mammel Hall.
