Ramachandra School Integrates Arise 'n' Shine's Emotional Intelligence for Students

CHENNAI, India - Aug. 5, 2018 - PRLog -- Imagine a classroom without text books and exams – that's what this group of educational experts from Arise 'n' Shine do at their programmes. The goal of these two classes a week session is to help imbibe creative learning among students with a 45 minute lesson plan that assists them in developing a strong desire for learning and emotional well-being.

Arise 'n' Shine's history dates back to 2003 in Michigan. Their English Programme introduces the components of Emotional Intelligence to maximize student's learning potential for creating a holistic transformation.

This educational enterprise has now signed up with Ramachandra Matriculation School, formerly Rukmani Vidyalaya, located at Kilpauk to offer their 'School of English and Emotional Intelligence' programme. The school was established in 1981 and currently has about 1500 students. Mrs. Sasikala, the Principal, has been associated with this school for over 25 years and recognizes the importance of integrating emotional intelligence with the curriculum.

"A successful program starts with the teacher. If a teacher practices emotional intelligence, transforming their students to become emotionally intelligent is easy", says Raj Ganesh, CEO of Arise 'n' Shine.

Ranked by Education World and Times of India for its rich and comprehensive curriculum, Arise 'n' Shine is integrating this programme with the curriculum of Ramachandra School for their primary and high school students.

"This programme nurtures the social, emotional and creative skills of each student. This structure is designed for students from 3.5 to 12 years of age", share the Directors of Knowledge Studio, Mrs. Lavanya Rajashekar and Mrs. Rekha Rupesh who spearheaded this effort at Ramachandra and a few other schools in the city.
