LOS ANGELES - Aug. 3, 2018 - PRLog -- The 8.0 pre-patch of World of Warcraft for the upcoming Battle for Azeroth, which features class changes, the new WoW mounts, War Mode, artifacts, DirectX 12 support, and stat and damage number reconfigurations, was released this Tuesday. Players, however, have expressed their discontent and frustration about the update. In response, Blizzard has apologized to the players and has promised to promptly fix its issues.

"So, as you've noticed, today's patch release has not gone nearly as smoothly as we would have liked. We're sorry for how this has affected the stability and playability of the game while these issues have been ongoing. This has obviously not been the launch that any of us wanted", said community manager Ornyx in the Battle Net forums. Aside from community manager Ornyx, game director Ion Hazzikostas has also issued an apology during a live Q&A session and further assured players that the problems will be addressed in the near future.

The Battle for Azeroth will be released on August 14, 2018. The expansion will be about the reigniting of the war between the Alliance and the Horde.
