San Diego Attorney Robert J. Francavilla Inducted as International Academy of Trial Lawyers Fellow

SAN DIEGO - Aug. 2, 2018 - PRLog -- Robert J. Francavilla, a partner with San Diego based-plaintiffs' firm CaseyGerry, was inducted as a fellow in the prestigious International Academy of Trial Lawyers, (IATL) at a ceremony held July 20, 2018, during the Academy's mid-year meeting in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Each year, IATL inducts fellows who have achieved a career of excellence through demonstrated skill and ability in jury trials, trials before the court and appellate practice. Members are engaged in civil practice on both the plaintiff's and the defendant's side of the courtroom and the trial of criminal cases. The Academy invites only lawyers who have attained the highest level of advocacy who are inducted following a comprehensive screening process, which identifies the most distinguished members of the trial bar by means of both peer and judicial review. Francavilla was evaluated by his colleagues and judges in his jurisdiction and was highly recommended.

CaseyGerry's managing partner David S. Casey Jr., who is an IATL fellow as well as board member, notes membership in the International Academy is an important invitation-only achievement limited to 500 active U.S. trial lawyers and 150 fellows from 40 countries around the globe. He is one of the region's most accomplished and sought after trial lawyers and has attained dozens of multi-million dollar results in recent years," he said.

With a practice focused on serious personal injury, head trauma and wrongful death cases, Francavilla has been lauded on numerous occasions for his trial work and last year was honored as "Trial Lawyer of the Year" by the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego (CASD). He has been recognized as an "Outstanding Trial Lawyer" by CASD on six separate occasions. Also, he was named one of California's top 25 plaintiff's lawyers by the Daily Journal. He is a past president of the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), an organization comprised of the country's leading plaintiff and defense trial counsel.

He holds both his B.B.A. and J.D. from the University of San Diego.
