Father of CRM To Help Stark County Techies Launch Scholarship Fund to Feed Their OwnStark County Ohio's tech community — and the people who care about them — are being asked to support the creation of a new scholarship fund to help keep homegrown talent right here in NEOhio.
By: Stark County Tech Scholarship Fund theFUND officially launches at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21, at Walsh University with an hour-long celebration with serial entrepreneur and keynote speaker Mike Muhney, co-inventor of the ACT! contact management software that revolutionized customer relationship technology. The gathering is open only to contributors. Donations start at $500 per person or $1500 for a corporation. All donors will be listed on the fund's website and corporate donors will be offered help marketing their open positions on multiple social media channels. "There are multiple jobs available in and around Stark County for talented web designers, code writers, programmers, you name it," says Dennis Warner, founder of the Canton Tech Slack networking group leading the creation of theFUND. "We need to stem the outflow of creative minds looking to make their mark in the world. A scholarship from the tech community for the tech community is a powerful way to encourage as many as we can to make their mark right here in Stark County," Warner offers. Muhney's appearance is being sponsored by Agile Audio Dashboards and all expenses for the Sept. 21 event are being donated as well.
