Model Technology Solutions Partners with Air Methods to Improve Cybersecurity, Uptime

ST. LOUIS - Aug. 1, 2018 - PRLog -- Model Technology Solutions is excited to announce its latest partnership with Air Methods, an emergency transport service, to provide System Center Configuration (SCC) managed services for their more than 300 bases of operations in 48 states.

Air Methods delivers lifesaving care to more than 100,000 patients a year. With lives on the line every day, downtime simply isn't an option. Air-based computers are critical to the company's ability to receive dispatch requests, launch helicopters, and save lives. Their previous infrastructure was unreliable, putting Air Methods at risk of missing opportunities to respond to requests. With more than 3,000 endpoint devices— a combination of laptops, desk tops and servers—manual maintenance put a drain on company resources, and legacy servers struggled to work seamlessly with new software, and left the company vulnerable to malware attacks.

Model redesigned and rebuilt the System Center Configuration Manager infrastructure in order to bring Air Methods up to a minimum 90% in patching and compliance.

Replacing Air Methods' legacy management solution with an updated footprint and fresh set of standards will better protect the company against a cyberattack and minimize bandwidth challenges.

Air Methods' new infrastructure is expected to go live July 31.
