Overseas Adventure Travel's Mongolia and Gobi Dessert Tour Review Posted
A highlighted review of his visit to Mongolia was posted by Jesse Slome, director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance.
"Mongolia is one of the truly up-and-coming countries in the world that has enormous growth and development potential." Slome shared. "There was more construction taking place in the capital city than any place I've visited outside of China."
"Once you leave the capital, it's like traveling back in time, and that creates a unique experience many travelers seek," Slome added. Slome's visit included several days spent in the Gobi desert as well as several spent at Khovsgol Lake.
The tour, organized by Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT), a Boston-based leading tour company, was the 10th taken by Slome to different parts of the globe. "OAT does things far better than many tour companies for those individuals who really want to both see a country and experience the daily lives of residents," Slome notes. The company includes multiple visits to schools and care facilities as well as visits to families.
Slome, who founded and serves as director of the long-term care insurance trade group, is an inveterate world traveler. "This was the ideal time to visit Mongolia because I suspect that in a few years much of the old-world experiences will merely be recreations for tourists," he predicts. "Yet, one could now travel and experience without sacrificing many of the comforts we still enjoy."
