By: Yoga Brained LLC
The book gives the reader a step-by-step guide to organizing life. Mainly by creating boundaries and daily rituals so the reader has time for what needs to get done and what the reader wants to do. By establishing healthy habits, it will unleash true power by freeing up time from the thousands of micro-decisions people make on a day-to-day basis. "Tamsin really gets into the limiting beliefs behind our habits. Now I have a great resource to share with my patients," says Dr. Jessica Hutchins, of the Cleveland Clinic.
Astor refers to herself a Chief Habit Scientist, where she helps people manage their habits around sleep, exercise and eating through a lens of mindfulness and relationship management. People make tens of thousands of decisions every day, so if she can help the reader create connections between the habits that serve them well, thus reducing the number of choices to be made, and so, freeing up time. This irony - creating routines to create freedom is what Astor strives to help people activate in their lives.
Tamsin utilizes a broad array of both Eastern and Western skills from her background in Neuroscience, Psychology and Education research as well as a practitioner of Yoga, where she is a registered Yoga Teacher (RYT500), Certified Living Ayurveda, Certified Executive Coach and Certified Yoga Health Coach. Her shift from publishing in academia to a broader audience came as a response to her young child getting cancer, and her way to deal with that stress. She now helps to guide clients through change related to their careers, relationships, physical and emotional health.
