The JROTC programs have a proven record of making a substantial difference in the students, the school and the community.  The statistics from the U.S. Army JROTC national page indicate that the program increases attendance and graduation rates, reduces the dropout rate and increases the overall GPA to almost 3.0 compared to the average of 2.72.  In addition, the JROTC program is very engaged in community activities with volunteering and will exceed their SSL (student service learning) hour requirements.

In addition, a hallmark of the JROTC curriculum is the focus on emotional intelligence.  Emotional intelligence is the knowledge of one's self and the influences one might have on interpersonal relations.  JROTC teaches students about themselves in order to help them understand and empathize with others.
