CSC's $1,995 SG250 San Gabriel
- July 30, 2018
-- CSC announced today that the new SG250 San Gabriels are in stock in all four colors (matt blue, matt black, pearlescent white, and mocha). The SG250 is a 250cc motorcycle that uses the same powerplant as CSC's extremely successful TT250 motorcycle. The SG250 sells for the astonishingly low price of $1,995 with a one-year, unlimited-mileage warranty. The motorcycle has a low 27-inch seat high and classic café racer styling, with low bars and bar-end mirrors. SG250 is a single-cylinder, carbureted, air cooled, 5-speed, 271-lb motorcycle approved for sale in all 50 US states.
"We've had such great success with our TT250 motorcycle and its simple, back-to-basics, affordable motorcycling approach that we decided to replicate it with the San Gabriel, a street-oriented motorcycle,"
said Steve Seidner, CSC Motorcycles President and Chief Executive Officer. "We take a different path to market," Seidner said. "We sell direct to our customers, and that allows us to offer pricing that attracts both experienced and new riders. Our objective is to bring more people into motorcycling, and to do that, we have monthly rides, we provide motorcycle maintenance training, and we have online maintenance tutorials, Our objective is not just to sell the motorcycle; we want to bring people into the motorcycling world. We encourage our customers to get familiar with caring for their motorcycles, and we have numerous social events including multi-day forays into Baja. It's a win-win situation for everyone."
Seidner went on to explain that both the TT250 and the SG250 motorcycles use a proven engine, one that was designed to survive with little maintenance in the South American market. "The engines are simple to maintain," Seidner continued. "Valve adjustments can be accomplished in just a few minutes, oil changes are easy, and all other aspects of normal preventive maintenance are very straightforward. Our customers love the approach."
"We're also going to be offering a complete line of low-cost San Gabriel accessories so our CSC riders will be able to customize their motorcycles,"
Seidner explained. "We originally started as a motorcycle accessories designer and manufacturer, and we've used that experience very successfully with our RX3 and TT250 motorcycles. The San Gabriel represents a great platform, and we're looking forward to seeing our customers personalize their bikes."
