The Barebrush August calendar series, Art of the Day features 31 artworks in a summer mood: nudes, portraits, people doing people things, and landscape. The media are paintings, photos, drawing and mixed. August launches with a photo nude taken in Thailand, Serenity by New Mexico artist, Peter Wong King. As the days of August roll on, we can be grateful for serene, lively and loving nudes, nudes in landscape, attractive landscape without nudes, portraits, baseball, and a particularly fine cat. We can also thank New York artist, Seonyoung Kim for a very stern portrait of Neill, who, as the calandar art for August 11th, looks quite overwhelmed while trying to be blasé.
