United Premier Soccer League Announces Austin Real Cuauhtemoc FC as Central Expansion Team

LOS ANGELES - Aug. 1, 2018 - PRLog -- The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is excited to announce Austin Real Cuauhtemoc Football Club as a new member starting with the 2018 Fall Season.

Based in Austin (Tex.), Real Cuauhtemoc begins UPSL play in the Central Conference, and will host its home games at McMaster Athletic Complex (101 WL Walden Dr., Georgetown, TX 78626) in compliance with UPSL's Minimum Standards.

United Premier Soccer League Central Conference Manager Matt Kahla said, "Austin Real Cuauhtemoc FC has been a club that has been a big name in Texas for years now. They've been at the top of each league they've played in, and we're excited to see the club compete at the UPSL level."

Cuco Bartolo, Jaime Bartolo and Luis Galvan together own Austin Real Cuauhtemoc. Founded in 2006, Real Cuauhtemoc FC is a two-time champion of the Texas Premier Soccer League (TPSL) and Head Coach Cuco Bartolo was the TPSL Coach of the Year for those years (2015 and '16).

Brayan Bartolo, 20, is General Manager of Austin Real Cuauhtemoc Football Club. A former youth player for the club, Bartolo now handles day-to-day operations for the club.

Austin Real Cuauhtemoc FC General Manager Brayan Bartolo said, "We've grown from the local leagues to the Texas Premier Soccer League and we're satisfied with what we've accomplished to this point. Now is time we've decided to take the next step and join the UPSL because it's a great league with great clubs joining here in Texas. We want to challenge ourselves against the best clubs, and we're excited to join the UPSL."

Austin Real Cuauhtemoc FC first gained recognition as ASSSA 2011 National Soccer Cup champions and two-time ANSL Southwest Conference winners,  and has twice participated in the Qualifying Rounds of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup (2016, '18).

The club soon will announce tryouts and its upcoming game schedule.

United Premier Soccer League

The UPSL was formed in 2011 and currently includes more than 200 teams in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. UPSL is the fastest growing Pro Development League in the USA, with 300-plus teams targeted for 2018 Fall Season.
