Drug and Alcohol Rehab Center Announces Expansion

Addiction Recovery Care is expanding its network to build a new residential center in Bath County.

LOUISA, Ky. - July 27, 2018 - PRLog -- Addiction Recovery Care (ARC) announced that its next residential drug and alcohol rehab center will be located in Bath County.

ARC operates a number of inpatient and outpatient centers across the state.

ARC held a convocation last month at Bath County High School where representatives celebrated the graduation of multiple addiction recovery patients from its programs. ARC's CEO also made the announcement about the new center at the meeting.

According to a Kentucky Office of Drug Policy report, there were more than 1,400 drug overdose deaths across the state in 2016. However, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that Kentucky was the only state that had a significantly decreasing rate of emergency department visits for opioid overdoses between July 2016 and September 2017.

ARC's Christian-based holistic residential treatment programs are broken down into three phases. The first phase includes drug detox, counseling, Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous groups and spiritual mentoring. During its second phase, patients are transferred into a sober living environment. The last phase consists of an internship and the opportunity to continue their education at Sullivan University.

ARC also plans to open facilities in two other counties this year.
