A voice well-known to listeners in the South Pacific, some might assumed that this English-born actor was a native of New Zealand. His formative years in the Antipodes were followed by an apprenticeship with Wilson & Horton, owners of the New Zealand Herald, the country's largest daily newspaper, which soon led to a job in journalism at Radio Hauraki, New Zealand's 1st independent radio station. Later, he became a national broadcaster for Radio New Zealand.
Ian A. Miller began reading books for the blind at the Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind to improve his voice range, not aware that this voluntary work would result in the creation of over 30 audio books.
"Ian A. Miller's talent as a narrator of mysteries is revealed in his intuitive storytelling. His rich baritone voice sweeps listeners away with an immediate sense of suspense and intrigue. Drawing upon his impressive experience, Ian easily masters a broad range of characters, while artistically pacing his smooth delivery to entice his unsuspecting audience into sudden drama. Therein one discovers the reason he was chosen as "the voice" of my first mystery series, SEVEN PARIS MYSTERIES. Later, he graciously accepted the challenge of producing two more mysteries from my newest series, the Mrs. Duchesney Mysteries. It has been truly a delight to work with such a brilliant talent and such a dedicated producer in this entertainment industry. Ian A. Miller has made our collaboration an enjoyable and truly rewarding experience."
