OCI to Lead Development of Innovative Barter DApp "TradeStuff" Built on EOS.IO Blockchain

New mobile app uses EOS.IO blockchain technology to offer a barter ecosystem to users around the world.

ST. LOUIS - July 25, 2018 - PRLog -- [St. Louis, MO, July 20—] A new mobile app, TradeStuff (https://www.tradestuff.com/), delivered by EOS SOCAL (https://www.eosocal.io/) and built by Object Computing, Inc. (https://objectcomputing.com/) (OCI), will soon be released for download on iTunes and on Google Play.

TradeStuff represents the first distributed application (DApp) built using EOS.IO blockchain technology to be globally available for download through the iTunes and Google Play marketplaces. TradeStuff creates an efficient way for users to trade items, creating the potential for widespread adoption of a moneyless ecosystem.

According to EOS SOCAL Head of Strategy, Cesar Diaz, "TradeStuff revives the oldest method of trade, moneyless barter, by introducing solutions to challenges affecting the practical application of peer-to-peer barter today … [including] a lack of trade security, inefficient trade negotiations, limited trade options, a lack of accessible information, and platform usage fees."

TradeStuff was built on EOS.IO, an open source blockchain platform founded and developed by block.one. Block.one, which was founded by Dan Larimer, designs free market systems to secure life, liberty, and property by publishing open source software that is free for everyone to use.

EOS.IO is a cryptocurrency token and blockchain that operates as a smart contract platform for the deployment of decentralized applications. The platform offers developers an extremely scalable and lightweight infrastructure on which to build robust, flexible, and highly performant software, and is the first decentralized operating system supporting industrial-scale blockchain applications.

EOS SOCAL turned to OCI's team of software engineers because of OCI's unique expertise with EOS.IO blockchain technology. OCI was contracted by the team at block.one to assist with the architecture and development of the EOS.IO software. "Outside of block.one, nobody on the planet knows EOS.IO better than OCI," said Thomas Cox, VP of Product at block.one.

The product roadmap for TradeStuff is available on the company's website (https://www.tradestuff.com/).
