Brightness/Discoloration - To measure the brightness of the LCD screens a special unit called "Nit" is used. By definition the nit is the amount of brightness measured or luminous intensity per unit area(Originally known as Candela per Square Metre or cd/m2). Basically, the more nits a display has, the more light can shine through it. This has a huge impact on the HDR performance of the display as well as how easy it is to see in natural sunlight. Your standard aftermarket screens have a rating of roughly 400 nits with today's technology.

The OEM displays currently hang out around 570 nits. Our Deluxe model comes in at a whopping 530+ nits!! When it comes to discoloration, all aftermarket displays have had a slight blue tone, until now. This happens because of the backlight that the manufacturer uses, as well as the program used during the manufacturing process. A Manufacturer, "FVG", developed a newer and more powerful program that is compatible with highest quality backlight available. This new program in the manufacturing process helps in the production of the Deluxe model.

With the Deluxe model, exclusively from "FVG", you get a display that has a warmer, true OEM, white tone with a comparable brightness that goes with it. The difference between the Deluxe Aftermarket and the OEM display is near impossible to see with an untrained eye.

3D Touch - Many of our customers (and their customers) have shed light on the 3D touch issues. We found that it was common for the 3D touch feature on an aftermarket screen to have an unreliable sensitivity and sometimes doesn't even work at all. On the aftermarket screens, the 3D touch was fake and simply controlled by an IC chip. On the new "Deluxe" aftermarket display, made by "FVG", the 3D Touch is just the same as with OEM configuration. Properly placed between the backlight and the LCD, the 3D Touch layer on the Deluxe model not only has an IC chip, but provides real data to the iPhone, giving us a more accurate 3D Touch experience!

Polarization - One of the biggest issues our customers have responded with, is the polarization layer. On 90% or more of the aftermarket screens, the polarization layer is not complete or true to OEM specifications. When wearing polarized sunglasses and looking at a typical aftermarket screen, if you turn the phone on it's side, the display blacks out! Of course when a customer looks at their newly repaired iPhone, they want to still be capable of seeing it from all angles as if it were brand new. "FVG" brought us a better display that has an OEM polarization layer so we can now see the aftermarket display from all angles without any obstruction of view.
