Cosmetics Startup Makes Eco-Friendliness More Accessible With Biodegradable Glitter

ORLANDO, Fla. - July 23, 2018 - PRLog -- It's Glitz is an indie beauty startup based outside of Orlando, FL. The founder, Central Florida native Valery Frey, noticed an important need in the cosmetics industry. Every major beauty brand is selling glitter…plastic-based glitter, that is. That's why in Spring 2018, It's Glitz was launched with the aim to provide "Conscious Cosmetics" to beauty lovers. Valery's first mission? Get eco-friendly, plant-based glitter in the hands of both makeup novices and professionals.

At the backbone of It's Glitz are two core values. First: The world needs more unapologetic, unique self-expression. Second: Eco-safe, nontoxic products should be the norm, not the exception. Products applied to human bodies and washed down drains should never harm the wearer or the ecosystem. Regular glitter, which is made of plastic, contributes to microplastic pollution in our oceans which causes sea life to suffer. These microplastics also travel up the food chain (and into human mouths).

It is an exciting time for beauty enthusiasts: Makeup has transcended into an accessible outlet of self-expression more than ever before.
