By: Warm Wales Ltd. Warm & Safe Homes is a street-level project delivered by a team of Community Energy Champions, they will be visiting households in the county to offer a range of free advice and support. The aim of the project is to create warm and safe homes through a range of services. Help on offer to eligible households includes; water bill savings, energy efficiency advice, benefit checks and even home safety improvements. Jonathan Cosson, Director of Warm Wales, talked about the achievements of the project to date. "After running the project in Cardiff, we know that our Community Energy Champions are making a real difference. We've been delighted with the overall savings achieved through warm & Safe Homes and with the dozens of individual testimonials we've received. These comments make very clear how much a saving on a water bill or a benefit referral means to someone." With the Cardiff scheme established Warm Wales have partnered with RCT Council to expand the Warm & Safe Homes project. It's very much a team effort and Warm Wales will also be working alongside Welsh Water, Care & Repair, Citizens Advice, Trivallis, NEST and Speakeasy to deliver the range of savings and improvements.
