Balmer Lawn Hotel in the New Forest Awarded 83% Silver Star Rating by AA

BASINGSTOKE, U.K. - July 19, 2018 - PRLog -- The family-owned-and-run, four-star, Balmer Lawn Hotel in Brockenhurst in the heart of the New Forest, has been awarded an 83% Silver Star rating from the AA.

The former 1800's hunting lodge has undergone a massive £4m refurbishment and enhancement programme over the last five years, culminating in the awarding of four AA SILVER stars and two rosettes.

Located a ten-minute walk from the main line train station, the hotel stands in three acres of gardens surrounded by a vast expanse of open forest in Brockenhurst, a popular haunt for the forest's famous free-roaming ponies, donkeys, cattle and the odd pig or two during the autumn 'pannage' period.

There are 54 individually designed bedrooms – including four posters, family suites and balcony rooms – all of which have been refurbished to reflect a more contemporary feeling, with a touch of luxury and individuality.

A quirky recent addition is the micro 'Brockenhurst Brewery' with its signature range 'Smokin' Deer' brewed in the hotel grounds. It produces a great tasting bitter and light cold-serve IPA. The brewery serves over a dozen local establishments with its bitter, but the Balmer Lawn Hotel is the only venue to serve both the bitter and the IPA.

There are both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, the Saltus Spa featuring ESPA products and treatment rooms for one and two, sauna, gym and squash courts.

A popular location for weddings, Balmer Lawn has refurbished and increased its function room capacities; it has built an oak wedding pavilion in the grounds to offer the perfect location for an outside wedding ceremony.
