By: NAWBO Phoenix The Aug. 8 NAWBO meeting features networking, lunch and keynote presentation by Dr. Tyrone Holmes, Ed.D, with information for businesses of all sizes. It runs from 11 a .m. to 1 p.m., including Table Workshop to kick off NAWBO's 2018-19 Rise Up Program promoting diversity and inclusion. Discussion will be led by Phaedra Earhart, Rise Up Program Chair. Dr. Holmes is a professional speaker, coach, consultant and author. He received his Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Education and Master's Degree in Counselor Education from Penn State University. Dr. Holmes received a second Master's degree in Business Management from the State University of New York before earning a perfect 4.0 G.P.A. in his Counselor Education doctoral program at Penn State. He is certified as a personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and as a Level 1 (Elite) cycling coach through USA Cycling. He is also a competitive cyclist who rides thousands of miles every year and competes in dozens of races and events. "Attendees will learn how to define, identify and diminish bias in their business," says Ronit Urman, 2018-19 NAWBO Phoenix President. The Aug. 8 NAWBO meeting will be held at the Gainey Ranch Golf Club (7600 E Gainey Club Dr., Scottsdale, 85258).
