Occupy E Street Fair & Car Show
Saturday July 21, 2018: 10am - 5pm
Agrisea Technologies Corp will be at Occupy E Street this year selling sno-cones with proceeds going to E Street refurbishments. Beat the heat with a tasty sno-cone!
In downtown Lakeview, Center Street to North Second Street along E Street is closed for the event. Celebrating it's 8th year, the event raises funds to revitalize Lakeview's downtown area.
Family events include a bounce house, US Army football touch, basketball, and a lot more. Saturday Market vendors will be on hand as well as the $5 hamburger or hotdog lunch, cotton candy, ice cream cones, sno-cones, and for the thirsty adult, a beer garden.
Coinciding with the street fair is a large car show, celebrating vintage wheels and
classic car culture. Prizes will be awarded in the afternoon for best cars in designated categories based on year of manufacture, as well as a People's Choice selection.
The car show includes one of the most popular and unique features of Occupy E
Street – Creeper Races. Participants race down E Street dragrace style, using water plungers to propel themselves forward while laying down on wheeled workbenches normally found under cars being repaired.
The Hi Desert Cruisers will have their first ever swap meet of auto-related
merchandise in the parking lot of US Bank.
The 3 on 3 basketball tournament will be held on the tennis courts next to the town's pool park.
"Occupy E Street" was created by Mike Beeson, owner of the 39er Variety Store, Cycle Town Coffer Shop, & Tall Town Clothing, all in downtown Lakeview. Occupy E Street is now an annual event that keeps getting bigger each year. With Benefit for the Basin, the Les Schwab tire truck, and many more participants.
Back in 2014, Edward Agrisea & Linda Greenwood created "Cones 4 A Cause" that would donate the proceeds from their booth sales at an event to go to a cause. Mr. Agrisea, as CEO of Agrisea Technologies Corp, reached out to Mr. Beeson this year to see if sno-cones would be something wanted at the event and heard a resounding yes. Agrisea would like to thank his volunteers, in advance, for their help in the booth & Dan's Auto Sales for the ice.
Mark your calendars and make the trip - The place to be on July 21st is E Street in downtown Lakeview, Oregon!
