Impact Safety conducts Train the Trainer 2 day course focusing on OSHA training regulations

EVANS, Ga. - July 16, 2018 - PRLog -- Training company, Impact Safety, will conduct a Train the Trainer two-day certification course focused on OSHA training regulations for students interested in teaching the Powered Industrial Truck and Lift Operator course to supervisors, trainers and managers of truck and forklift operators, to assist them become safety instructors to operators.

The event will be held on July 23rd and July 24th from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., at Impact Safety's Augusta office in Georgia. The course will focus on OSHA training regulations, OSHA compliance, how it will affect the company, and how to comply with the OSHA standards. On completion of the course, a certificate will be issued to the trainer, who will then be well-equipped with the knowledge and materials needed to train others.

OSHA requires the operator training program to be conducted by persons who have knowledge, training, and experience to train and evaluate truck and forklift operators. In accordance with this requirement, the comprehensive two-day OSHA training classes will include a detailed classroom/video presentation on forklifts and pallet trucks, a full discussion of physics and features, inspecting, driving, load handling, fueling and batteries, and general safety issues, OSHA regulations and current proposed rules, accident prevention and incident discussion, hands-on safety inspections of equipment and operator daily inspection forms, instruction pertaining to classroom management, record keeping and teaching skills.

OSHA's standard also requires employers to develop and implement a training program based on the general principles of safe truck operation, the types of vehicles being used in the workplace, the hazards of the workplace created by the use of the vehicles, and the general safety requirements of the OSHA standard. Trained operators must know how to do the job properly and do it safely as demonstrated by workplace evaluation.
