For the Brandywiners 86th Production of The Music Man, Seventy-Six Trombones Lead the Big Parade to Longwood Gardens
Leave your troubles behind for the troubles in River City at Longwood Gardens!
Come join them as they perform this American classic, July 26-28 and August 2-4 at 8:00 pm. Spend a day seeing what's new at Longwood Gardens, and then sit back, relax, and let them take you on a classic theatrical journey under the stars. Robert Miller plays the famous, smooth-talking Harold Hill, who brings his moneymaking scheme to River City. Complicating matters, he falls head-over-heels for the beautiful Marian Paroo, played by Rachel Burghen. Follow the plot with well-known songs including "Ya Got Trouble", "Seventy-Six Trombones", "Shipoopi", and "Till There Was You".
Directors Bob Kelly, Jody Anderson, and Darrin Peters bring both local and national experience in stage and music directing, acting, film/TV, and choreography to create a funny, warm, romantic and touching show for audiences. With a 100 member cast, chorus and dancing ensemble and an orchestra of 19 instrumentalists, The Brandywiners promise to dazzle you with the magic of musical theater in an open air theater setting.
