Interactive Crash Report Reveals The Top 10 Most Dangerous Intersections In Glendale, California

GLENDALE, Calif. - July 11, 2018 - PRLog -- Every year there are over nine deaths a day in California due to road related crashes. According to the Federal Highway Administration, over 50% of all fatal and injury crashes occur at or near an intersection.

In an effort to highlight the intersections where accident are occurring, Megeredchian Law compiled five years' worth of accident data from California's Office of Traffic Safety. Every single accident recorded in the past five years has been mapped to its corresponding crash location to create the first interactive road study of its kind for the Glendale area.

"We created the map to emphasize the importance of road safety," founding attorney Alex Megeredchian remarked. "The map makes it easier for everyone to see where accidents are occurring more frequently so that drivers can remain alert and aware while out on the road."

In total, Glendale has been home to over 14,000 accidents, resulting in over 5,000 injuries, and 30 deaths in the past five years. Glendale drivers are considered 85% more likely than the national average to get into a crash according to an annual study conducted by Allstate.

The intersection of Brand Boulevard and Sanchez Drive ranked as the most dangerous in Glendale with 20 accidents in 2017. Brand Blvd. & Sanchez Dr. was followed by Verdugo Rd. & Colorado St. (13 accidents), Chevy Chase Dr. & Brand Blvd. (12 accidents), Colorado St. & Brand Blvd. (12 accidents), and Glendale Ave. & Colorado St. (12 accidents) to round out the top five.
