Bikers Ride the Lakes Region with Verani Realty to Benefit Greater Lakes Region Children's Auction

LACONIA, N.H. - July 10, 2018 - PRLog -- Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani's Belmont office invited local bikers to kick their stands up and celebrate Laconia Motorcycle Week at their second annual Pancake Breakfast and Charity Ride. For a minimum donation of $15/person, visitors could fuel up with pancakes before taking a two-hour ride through the Lakes Region this June, all to benefit the Greater Lakes Region Children's Auction.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast and checking out a model tiny house by Granite State Tiny Homes, riders toured the back roads of the Lakes Region before ending the day at Shooter's Tavern & Pizzaria for food, drinks, raffles and prizes. The event raised $900 for the auction.

The Greater Lakes Region Children's Auction is a nonprofit that helps community organizations in the Central New Hampshire region. Each December the volunteer-run auction takes to the airwaves to raise funds for children in need. In addition to the auction itself, many people opt to donate household items or cash year-round to support the organization's mission. Since its inception, over $4.5 million dollars have been raised for local charities.

Participating in the auction's Pub Mania event, where teams man a barstool for 24 hours to raise funds for the charity, is one of Verani Realty's favorite traditions, and fundraising events for their team, the "Verani Realty Reindeer," are held year-round.

"Our team looks forward to manning our barstool at Pub Mania every year, and we take every opportunity we can to find creative ways to raise funds for the auction," said Jon Delmar, regional manager of Verani's Belmont office. "Hosting an annual charity ride has been a perfect way for us to celebrate Laconia Motorcycle Week while supporting local children, and we hope the event continues to grow each year."
