Affordable Housing Applications Available for South Shore Habitat Townhomes in Duxbury
The deadline for family partnership applications is 4 pm on July 12, 2018.
South Shore Habitat for Humanity is working in partnership with the Town of Duxbury's Affordable Housing Trust (DAHT) on the Temple Street project, which is comprised of three duplexes. A new road named Feinberg Bog Road will allow access to the property which will sit on 2.91 acres that was formerly part of Camp Wing. The 2 bedroom townhomes will have approximately 1,200 square feet. Three of the townhomes will be low income homes and the other three will be moderate income homes. Applications are available through South Shore Habitat for Humanity and their website, the Duxbury Library and the SS Habitat ReStore in Hanover or downloaded through the website.
Family Partners will be accepted based on set guidelines and newly adjusted 2018 income limits. The purchase price of these homes will be $160,000 and monthly payments will include a condo fee.
The non-profit organization is also accepting in-kind service donations from those skilled in construction, driveway installation, septic, and roofing.
