Lee Shore Rescue is an animal rescue in Polk County, just a few miles down the mountain from Asheville. Lee Shore focuses on the animal who is not yet ready for adoption, but who will be soon: the abused, the neglected, the babies, and the sick and injured. Not only does Lee Shore provide the rehabilitation necessary for a healthy physical life, but they also provide the training every animal needs to have a successful life as a companion animal. This weekend, 15% of Elizabeth Shanahan's profits from the Downtown Asheville Festival of the Arts will be donated to Lee Shore Rescue for the purchase of medical care, food, and enrichment for Lee Shore's Maternity House puppies and kittens, and Rehabilitation Center rehab dogs. Downtown Asheville Festival of the Arts is promoted by Howard Alan Events. This juried fine art fair will host painters, potters, jewelers, glass blowers, and more, all well respected in their fields. Asheville is famous as a hub of the arts, and the event will be held in the historic Pack Square Park. The show will run Saturday, July 7th from 10am to 5pm, and Sunday July 8th from 10 am from 5pm.
