Applied Food Sciences Hosts 6th Annual Innovation Retreat
What happens when the top minds in sports nutrition come together?
AUSTIN, Texas - July 31, 2018 - PRLog -- The 6th Annual Applied Food Sciences (AFS) Innovation Retreat took place at the Waldorf Astoria in Boca Raton, Florida. This year's topic was planting the seeds of innovation in sports performance supplements. The goal was to motivate industry leaders to provide cleaner, organic and botanical offerings in the sports performance nutrition channel.
"Innovation usually requires input from a full range of specialists and vantage points, explains Loretta Zapp, CEO of Applied Food Sciences. "We believe that when diverse minds gather in one place, fresh ideas can be created, and new opportunities can be discovered."
CEOs, food scientists, regulatory and marketing experts presented new ingredients, market opportunities, and product innovations in a focused, friendly setting. AFS retreats cultivate working relationships in the natural products industry which help bring the new ideas to market.
"AFS has been hosting annual innovation retreats for several years, and the feedback has always been overwhelmingly positive," Loretta continues. "We value the input from all who attended and appreciate the time spent creating and sharing innovative ideas of what's next in the world of sports nutrition."
"AFS retreats provide a fantastic forum for the exploration of new ideas which assist companies both large and small across the value chain - a real breath of fresh air," says Steve French, Managing Partner at NMI.
