America Green Solar Appoints New Female CEO as Green Movement Expands

June 29, 2018 - PRLog -- The future is green and female at America Green Solar, with the upcoming promotion of the company's new President and CEO Desiree Guinto, effective July 1st. America Green Solar has been committed to excellence and innovation since its inception—since which, only three years ago, the company has become the only solar vendor with operations capability in all 50 U.S. states as well as Puerto Rico. With its current CEO Ken Reece moving on to focus his efforts on Solareum, America Green's eco-friendly blockchain spinoff with a market cap of 42.2 million USD, the pioneering young company's next chapter will be led by Guinto. Guinto and Reece worked together previously at NY Marketing Firm, with Desiree serving as COO throughout most of 2015, contributing exponentially to the company's growth in two and a half years, opening twelve offices nationwide. They both left NY Marketing Firm by the end of 2015 and joined America Green Solar. Since then, Desiree has served as America Green's Managing Director. However, with the explosive growth rate endemic to Reece-Guinto joint ventures, it is time for Reece to move on and Guinto to take over, only two and a half years in--with each generating wealth and sustainability in the green sector in the best way that they can. "I will continue the AGS mission of Painting America Green," Guinto says. "My goal is to double sales in our existing markets by fourth quarter, and expanding our presence in each state. I also want to involve AGS in more charity and fundraising with organizations who have the same vision and goals as we do." Guinto's parents immigrated from the Philippines before she was born, and her father served in the U.S. military. Born in Wiesbaden, Germany, Desiree's journey into business resulted from an interest in public service, and that passion is coming full circle at America Green Solar. Guinto's childhood dream was to become a linguist. "I have always been immersed in different cultures growing up and saw the different language barriers. I wanted people to get along," she recalls. She now holds a bachelor's degree in International Relations from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, and has volunteered with a handful of humanitarian organizations, including the Philippine Red Cross, and the European Chamber of Commerce. She says, "Growing up in Germany, recycling and maintaining the environment was always instilled. Protecting our environment has always been something I am passionate about. I believe future generations should have the opportunity to appreciate nature as much as our generation did as children." In her free time, Desiree enjoys hiking, working out, and exploring the natural world she has spent so much of her life protecting. When asked what she believes her promotion means for women and minorities in the solar and renewables industry, which, like much of the business world, is still socially homogenous, she responded, "I do not believe there are specific barriers. I believe as a woman, you come in with a different mindset in a male-dominated world." America Green Solar looks forward to Desiree Guinto's barrier-defying mindset as they head into the third quarter of 2018.
