CHICAGO & SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - June 27, 2018 - PRLog -- Forum Extended Care Services, the largest independent long-term care (LTC) pharmacy in Illinois, hosted its 3rd annual Forum on Post-Acute and Long-Term Care on June 15. Held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Oak Brook, the symposium drew record-breaking attendance of more than 160 attendees and 20 exhibit sponsors.

This all-day event provided Nursing Home Administrators and LTC Nurses the opportunity to earn 6 hours of continuing education credits (CEUs) without cost. Speakers included industry-leading executives from Bridgemark Healthcare and Valley Hi Nursing Home, discussing initiatives to reduce hospital re-admissions; representatives from the Illinois Department of Public Health's LTC and Assisted Living Divisions shared regulatory insights; and perennial favorite Barb Bancroft, RN, MSN, PNP, provided 'gut-busting' geriatric clinical education.

One attendee shared that the seminar was not only extremely informative, but that she also enjoyed learning about new industry innovations from exhibitors and fellow healthcare professionals.

Welcoming attendees were Forum's executives: President & CIO, Brian Kramer, RPh, MBA; Executive Vice President, Pamela Kramer, BA, LPhT; Senior Vice President of Pharmacy Services, Pradip Patel, RPh, CGP; and Senior Vice President of Clinical & Business Development, Pete Toke, PharmD; as well as Director of Clinical Services, Johnson Abraham, PharmD, CGP, and members of Forum's clinical, management, and development teams.

"We are very pleased with the outstanding turnout and overwhelmingly positive response we have received," says Mr Kramer. "I'm grateful that we can provide this type of service to the LTC community and thankful for the support of our industry partners. We have already begun using participants' feedback to plan for next year."
