LeBron James Named Hickok Belt(R) Award for May 2018 - for an unprecedented third straight month

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - June 26, 2018 - PRLog -- For the third consecutive month, Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James, considered the best basketball player in the the world, has been named the winner of the prestigious Hickok Belt(R) Award for May 2018. The voting was conducted by a select panel of members of the National Sports Media Association (NSMA). James was selected on an incredible performance in the NBA Playoffs for the month of May and leading the Cavaliers into the NBA Finals, averaging 33.7 points, 9.5 assists and 8.7 rebounds.

Other finalists for the month of May of how the NSMA voters ranked them included Justify and Mike Smith (horse racing), Max Scherzer (baseball), Kevin Durant (basketball), Marc-Andre Fleury (hockey), Will Power (auto), Jose Ramirez (baseball), Evgeny Kuznetzov (hockey), Gareth Bale (soccer), and Webb Simpson (golf).

LeBron James is regarded by many fans as the greatest player of all time. His accomplishments are extensive and include being named the "overall" winner of the Hickok Belt(R) Award for two straight years: 2012-2013. His selection as the Hickok Belt(R) Award winner for the month of May 2018 recognizes James as "the best of the best" in professional sports and for the third time this year, makes him eligible to receive the overall Hickok Belt(R) Award for 2018, joining Nick Foles who won the award in back-to-back months earlier this year.
