Cornwall Artist Offered Prestigeous Residency In Belgrade

CORNWALL, Ontario - June 23, 2018 - PRLog -- Carl Parker, a Cornwall area artist,has recently been offered a prestigious residency at Belgrade Art Studio, in Belgrade, Serbia.  The curated residency is a unique opportunity for Parker to live and work in the historic European capital for up to six months beginning in 2019.  While there, he will live in the city centre and collaborate with the best emerging and mid level artists from around the globe.  This residency comes on the heels of Parker's Barcelona showing at the Summer 18 international exhibition in Barcelona, Spain from July 20-31.

Parker is a self taught artist haling originally from Fredericton, New Brunswick.  He's adopted the friendly city of Cornwall, Ontario as his home.  An autism advocate, Parker deals with Asperger's syndrome and is an inspiration to those on the spectrum.

When asked about this opportunity, Parker said, "I'm so excited.  The idea of being able to live and work in another country, to work with other artists, it's such an honour."
