Cleaning Roseland: A One Day Community Event

CHICAGO - June 21, 2018 - PRLog -- Roseland Matters, the community and mentoring program created by the Jordyne Cares organization to serve children and families in the far South Side neighborhood, is holding its 5th annual community clean-up on Saturday, June 23 from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.

A call for 500 volunteers has gone out. Lunch will be provided to volunteers, as well as a free raffle for cash and prizes.

Roseland Matters is partnering with the 005th District Chicago Police Station, home to one of the top Chicago Alternative Policing Strategy (CAPS) departments.

About ROSELAND MATTERS
ROSELAND MATTERS is the focus program of JORDYNE CARES, a 501c3 organization operating in Chicago.  Founded by Roseland native Marc Pullins, the program is committed to working for the people of the Roseland community on the far southside of Chicago, to strengthen their sense of community by hosting community cleanups, mentoring young men, holiday giveaways, and community meetings with the Chicago Police Department (CPD) and residents, so that they may live peaceful and productive lives.
