LOS ANGELES - June 21, 2018 - PRLog -- The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to welcome Miami Sun Football Club as a league member for the 2018 season.

Based in Doral (Fla.), Miami Suns FC plays in the UPSL Southeast Conference Florida South Division and currently hosts its UPSL home games at Orange Bowl Field at Ives Estates Park (20901 NE 16th Ave., Miami, FL 33179) in compliance with UPSL's Minimum Standards.

United Premier Soccer League Florida Division Manager Christian Vallejos said, "Miami Sun FC has progressed every year since the club started, and now the club has entered into the UPSL and continues to seize the opportunity on the Pro Development level. We're proud to have Miami Sun FC as a member of the UPSL, and we wish Owner Fernando Rodriguez and the team every success going forward."

Fernando Rodriguez, 35, is the club's Owner and General Manager. A native of Venezuela, Rodriguez started Miami Sun FC in 2016 and opened Miami Sun FC Academy in February 2018.

Miami Sun FC Owner Fernando Rodriguez said, "We decided to take a different challenge, and the UPSL is new but we think in this moment that the UPSL is a great league. We can find local teams with an excellent level of play, and do some travel with the team so people can see us play."

Jonathan Rosas, 35, is the team's Head Coach. A former professional in Venezuala, Rosas also made a number of appearances with the Venezuela Under-20 Men's National Team.

"I think the Head Coach and his staff deserve the credit for the physical trainings. They are working so hard in the trainings, three-to-four times a week," Rodriguez said. "We have good trainings and use new techniques so we're always thinking about doing it better."

Miami Sun FC (5-3-1 overall) plays Hurricane FC on Saturday, June 23 at 7:30 p.m. ET at Hilltopper Stadium (2505 Seacrest Blvd, Delray Beach, FL 33444).
