Which Country Imports the Most Vacuum Cleaners in the World?

 
WALNUT, Calif. - June 21, 2018 - PRLog -- According to the report "World: Vacuum Cleaners - Market Report. Analysis and Forecast to 2025", recently published by IndexBox, the vacuum cleaner imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern in 2016. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010, when imports increased by 10% year-to-year. Over the period under review, global vacuum cleaner imports reached its maximum volume in 2014; afterwards, it flattened through to 2016.

In value terms, vacuum cleaner imports stood at $10B in 2016. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.4% from 2007 to 2016; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations over the period under review. Global vacuum cleaner import peaked of $10B in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2016, it stood at a somewhat lower level.

Vacuum Cleaner Imports By Country

In 2016, China represented the main importer for vacuum cleaner, committing 30% of total imports. It was distantly followed by the U.S., Germany, and Malaysia, together mixed up 23% share of total vacuum cleaner imports. South Korea, the UK, France, Japan, Viet Nam, Russia, Mexico, and Hungary followed a long way behind this figure.

China experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. At the same time, Germany (+3.3%), Japan (+3.2%), South Korea (+2.6%), France (+1.8%), Malaysia (+1.6%), Viet Nam (+1.4%), and Hungary (+1.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Germany emerged as the fastest growing importer/exporter in the world, with a CAGR of +3.3% from 2007-2016. The U.S. experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Russia (-2.4%), Mexico (-3.0%), and the UK (-3.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The shares of the largest importers remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the U.S. ($2.3B) constitutes the largest market for imported vacuum cleaner worldwide, making up 23% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Japan ($1.1B), with the share of 11% of global imports. It was followed by Germany, with the share of 10%.

In the U.S., vacuum cleaner imports stood at an average annual rate of +1.1% over the period from 2007-2016. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates: Japan (+10.7% per year) and Germany (+7.3% per year).

Vacuum Cleaner Import Prices By Country

The average vacuum cleaner import price stood at $6,376 per tonne in 2016, standing approx. at the previous year level. Over the period from 2007 to 2016 it increased at an average annual rate of +3.0%.The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010, when import increased by 8% from the previous year level. Global vacuum cleaner import peaked of $6,381 per tonne in 2015, leveling off in the following year.

Import prices varied noticeably by country of destination. the country with the highest import prices was Japan, while China was among the lowest.

From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of vacuum cleaner import prices was attained by Viet Nam (+21.8% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
