EL PASO, Texas - June 20, 2018 - PRLog -- On the heels of his traumatic life-threatening illness, former NFL Dallas Cowboy and University of Texas at El Paso alumni, Darryl Clack will bring SportMetric Youth Football Camp to El Paso offering a fresh take on football instruction and training through the ACA Model of Excellence, Saturday, July 14 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Saipan-Ledo Park 4601 Durazno Ave.

SportMetric Youth Football camps offer a fresh take on football instructions and training by incorporating the ACA model of Excellence— Academics, Community involvement, and Athletics.  An area that most youth football camps do not offer, Clack along with co-founders Josh Jakubczak and Darius Perry, are devoted to helping student-athletes achieve success on and off the field.

"After recently being in a coma and fighting for my life, due to concussions and other head trauma in my early years of football, I'm excited to get back to what I love by bringing my camp and ACA techniques to El Paso," states Clack.  "It's important for our youth to learn the importance of concentrating, listening, and focusing on and off the field as well as how to protect themselves in the game."

A highly experienced and knowledgeable coaching staff that includes former NFL players and athletic trainers, the camp offers position-specific football drills, and parent focus groups to explain the process of skill development and getting kids to the next level from high school to college, to pro ranks.

SportMetric also provides more in-depth combine testing camps to allow young athletes to measure their athletic performance against their peers, college, and professional athletes.

Furthermore, the organization is certified and is designed to minimize human error and ensure results that are accurate and uniformly measured by utilizing the latest digital technology to time the following combine drills: 40-yard dash, Shuttle Drill, 3 Cone Drill.

Each camp has an athletic trainer who can assist in the event of an injury, and there is an emergency action plan in place in the event of more severe injuries.
