Smith Village hosts free memory care support group Tuesday, July 3

Rare chance for caregivers of dementia, Alzheimer's sufferers to pose questions

CHICAGO - June 20, 2018 - PRLog -- Smith Village, a life plan community at 2320 W. 113th Place in the Beverly/Morgan Park area of Chicago, is inviting local residents to a free support group at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, for people who take care of Alzheimer's disease or dementia sufferers.

    The group will be hosted by Diane Morgan, social service director of long-term care, who will lead an open discussion to answer whatever questions attendees may have. Topics can range from "sundowning" to the disease's progress to what certain behaviors mean. Light refreshments will be served when the meeting concludes at 7:30 p.m.
