-- Graeme Winton from Arbroath in the east of Scotland has followed rock and blues most of his life. He was a devoted Led Zeppelin fan at school and played in a number of rock bands. He then juggled playing with working-the latter taking over.
The independent album, a labour of love for the fan, containing original rock, blues and folk was released on 28/04/2018 through CDBaby.com. The topic Light and Dark comes from the Adamic dream of choice: good and Evil. The Lyrics come from Graeme's views on existence, politics and spiritualism. A review said: 'a thoroughly enjoyable album.'
Graeme remembers listening to his father sing big band numbers from Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and dreamed of being a performer. Blues has a special place in his heart with artists such as Rory Gallagher, Buddy Guy and Gary Moore. Away from blues influences include: prog rock with bands such as Rush, Genesis and Yes; death metal with Amon Amarth and Cradle of Filth; singer-songwriters John Martyn and Ed Sheeran.
The album Light and Dark represents not only a turning point in Graeme's playing, but a pivotal point in the music devotee's life. The realization of a long-held dream, so often put off by having to earn a living. If you choose to listen to the album; listen with your heart to a man who owes it to his father.
