When Cancer Hits Home Podcast Helps Families Dealing with Cancer

OAK PARK, Mich. - June 16, 2018 - PRLog -- When Cancer Hits Home first podcast hosted by Tonya Shirelle launched a few weeks ago, she knew it was needed but had no idea the response would be so overwhelming.  The podcast touched on her personal experience and provided an overview of the show, and the analytics proved her point.

Statistics indicate one in three people are diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, cancer has a devastating effect on patients, family members, and loved ones. "Maneuvering through the cancer battle is difficult, it is physically and emotionally draining on everyone," says Tonya Shirelle founder of Families Fighting Cancer organization.

Although not personally fighting cancer, Shirelle dealt with the devastation of cancer when three of her closest relatives were all diagnosed with cancer within a 24 month period. Cancer hit home for them. Her family decided to use the lemons to make lemonade by creating an organization and products to help other families fighting cancer.
