MCLEAN, Va. - June 15, 2018 - PRLog -- Global Bhagavad Gita Convention (GBGC) will showcase Gita's road-map to accomplish personal and universal well-being through uplifting and insightful presentations by a distinguished group of speakers including  professionals, scholars, leaders, and thinkers, who will share with us Gita's timeless wisdom with practical perspectives. The convention promises to be an enlightening and transformative event. 2018 GBGC is being organized with the following objectives;

1. Remove the popular misconception that the Gita is solely a religious text, and to highlight it instead as a historic document presenting secular, universal "right-living" guidelines that are applicable to all of humanity, regardless of religious affiliation.

2. Introduce the Gita as a guidebook to enable an integrated body-mind-intelligence, for people from all backgrounds.

3. Simplify Gita's message of achieving success amidst challenges, and make its wisdom accessible to all age groups.

Driven by the mission to benefit all of mankind, the 2018 Bhagavad Gita Convention will focus on extensive knowledge sharing through interactive presentations as well as panel discussions by ascetics, entrepreneurs, academicians and influencers.

The convention will also feature lively cultural presentations by local vocalists and dancers who will express Gita's subtleties, and shed light on its ancient yet, timeless wisdom, through a delightful visual and auditory feast.

The global dialog on Bhagavad Gita is being convened as part of a long-term effort under the inspirational guidance of Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha, a renowned Spiritual Master from India. Through a series of global dialog, Center for Inner Resources Development - North America (CIRD-NA) will present the message of Bhagavad Gita as a secular and historical text to all as a universal life manual.

Notable speakers include Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha, Head of Narayanashrama Tapovanam and Center for Inner Resources Development, Swami Sarvapriyananda, Minister and Spiritual Leader of the Vedanta Society of New York, Professor Graham Schweig, Professor of Religion and  Director of Studies in Religion at Christopher Newport University, Swami Nirviseshananda Tirtha and Ma Gurupriya from Narayanashrama Tapovanam and CIRD.

This year's convention will be held from September 15–16, 2018 (Saturday and Sunday), at Center for the Arts, George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, USA.

Admission to the convention is free.  Interested participants are encouraged to register early and confirm their participation by visiting The Global Bhagavad Gita Convention Website: http://www.globalgita.org
