JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - June 14, 2018 - PRLog -- Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc. is proud to announce the release of My Bucket's Got a Hole in It, by debut author Teresa Stutso Jewell.

Teresa Jewell has been inventing and writing fiction as a hobby for forty years, but just recently decided to give up her 'baby' and share it with the public. My Bucket's Got a Hole in It is her first novel, but she has had her poetry published in a couple of college publications and she has read some of her work at public functions.

My Bucket's Got a Hole in It takes the reader on the long, treacherous trip across the ocean, following three families as they create the Appalachian culture that we have today. The families leave England and land on the coast of Virginia in the mid 1600's. Soon they find a hidden, undiscovered mountain in West Virginia, and live secretly for almost 300 years. The reader will uncover this culturally unique place known as the Appalachian Mountains — a corner of the world where a distinctive lifestyle and dialect can yet be found.

"Teresa Stutso Jewell excels in drawing word pictures in the early descriptions in her book. As her history lesson unfolds, she carries the reader from Scotland, Ireland, and England to the wilds of colonial America—stories told from the lips of a 100-year-old mountain woman descended from pioneer families who lived out their lives on a remote mountain top in West Virginia." —Dr. Grace Toney Edwards Professor Emerita of Appalachian Studies Radford University, Radford, Virginia

My Bucket's Got a Hole in It can be purchased through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and through Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc.
