Sales Education Foundation Awards $10,000 for 2018 Research Grants

Foundation has awarded over $100,000 to support research into issues confronting professional sales organizations

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - June 14, 2018 - PRLog -- The non-profit Sales Education Foundation (SEF) recently announced the recipients of their 2018 Research Grant Program. Each submission undergoes review by an independent selection committee. Two proposals are chosen to each receive a $5,000 grant to support their research. SEF's program began in 2011 with the support of well-known author, speaker and professor Neil Rackham. To date over $100,000 has been awarded.

Recipients of the 2018 research grants and their proposal titles are:

Scott Friend (Miami University), Kumar Rakesh Ranjan (Indian Institute of Calcutta) and Jeff S. Johnson, Ph.D. (University of Missouri-Kansas City) - Failing Fast; Assessing the contingent benefits of salesperson failing fast on performance and attitudinal outcomes.

Ryan Mullins (Clemson University)  - Uncovering the Impact of Sales Force Capabilities on Firm Performance.

Completed research will be submitted to academic journals, and findings will be highlighted in practitioner-focused briefs. SEF continues to support its long term goal to make published papers more readily available via the foundation's "Sales Research" website page.

The official announcement was made at the 2018 Global Sales Science Institute, GSSI, in Vienna, Austria.  This yearly conference brings together scholars and practitioners interested in sharing and advancing cutting edge professional selling and sales management practices, research and education.

Sally Stevens, Executive Director of the SEF, says "The research grant program continues the support of research by both current academicians and doctoral candidates. This helps to address the growth of new and existing sales programs and the need for more academically qualified instructors. Recipients are chosen for their ability to apply rigorous academic methodology to address the needs of the business community."

Leff Bonney from Florida State University served as chair of the 2018 Selection Committee.
