On 23rd and 24th June, we bring the ultimate mango experience to you at Indira Gandhi Prathisthan with enthralling cultural events like Aam ki Kahaani, Awaam ki Zubaani, Zikr-E-Aam, Qissagoi on Aam, the Mango Food Festival with top Lucknow restaurants and home chefs participating, Cooking Contest judged by Masterchef Pankaj Bhadouria, Delhi-based abstract artist Dhiraj Singh showcases his unique mango art installation, JD Institute Lucknow showcasing Mango influence in design, rural innovators by Swatantra Talim, Jams made by rural self help group Saidanpuri enabled by Awadh Mango Growers and Baankeloom. Lucknow's popular brands promoting special mango products like Sweet Nothings, Cherry Tree, Blossom Tea, Arsh Fusion Couture, Royal Honey and more. From mango based skin care to every kind of food made with mango we have it all.
In association with Lucknow's own premier research Institute of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, CISH, presents a Mango Diversity Fair and an interface between farmers and scientists to share their best practices. The market will also include *Custodian Farmers* who are still conserving rare local mango varieties which adorn the plates of the mango connoisseurs in different regions who relish it's health benefits, uniqueness and diversified uses.
We are launching an app for farmers to connect the consumers directly and increase profit to farmers. This app has been developed by the department of software development and e governance of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra at National PG College Lucknow.
This festival has been conceptualised by Awadh Mango Growers Association in collaboration with UP Horticulture and Tourism, NABARD, National Horticulture Board, ICAR, Mandi Parishad, supported by Maaza as well as Rare Rabbit, Gyan, Kotak and our partners Uber, Renaissance Hotel, promoted by Fever FM and Feeding Trends amongst others; we hope to spread the festival to more locations every year and put Lucknow on the mango map of the world.
