HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - June 12, 2018 - PRLog -- Winged Lion Publications will be releasing an audio book edition of the ground breaking and genre-bending novel on the life of Frankenstein author Mary Shelley, "The Secret Memoirs of Mary Shelley: The Frankenstein Diaries", by Michael January and Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley. The audio book is narrated by Heidi Gregory as the voice of Mary Shelley. Gregory's previous audiobooks of the classic "The Secret Garden" and "the Yellow Wallpaper" have garnered 5 star reviews, and she promises to bring Mary Shelley into living form for an audio audience experience.

In this year celebrating the 200th Anniversary of the first publishing of Shelley's sustaining classic novel of science gone wrong, "Frankenstein; Or, The Modern Prometheus" which has spawned countless versions in film and story, a new feature film version of the girl who invented the Gothic genre has arrived and a television telling of the teenage "genius" of Regency literature is in the works.

"The Secret Memoirs of Mary Shelley: The Frankenstein Diaries – The Romantics" tells her story of the search for identity and love, and the foundations of her development as an author, in her own words in this unique mix of biography and autobiographical novel, blending Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley's own journals and speculative fiction narrative, said by one reviewer for the Historical Novel Society "An entertaining 'collaboration', exhaustively researched, skillfully adapted...long on memorable characters that will make readers see the seminal classic Frankenstein in a new light."

Author January said of the audiobook: "I'm really thrilled to hear Mary tell her story in her own voice, it adds such a personal intimate dimension. I think this unique world was meant to be heard."

In 1814, 16 year old Mary Godwin eloped to Paris with the 22 year old married poet, Percy Bysshe Shelley, inviting Mary's 15 year old step-sister Claire Claremont to go with them. They would walk across war ravaged France to Switzerland and return up the Rhine River. Three years later Mary would publish a journal she kept of that journey of two teenage girls and the poet of "free love". In the published version of "A History of a Six Week's Tour" she never revealed the true secrets of that trip, from where a later inspiration arose, but here is revealed the secret portions of that tour and beyond.

The audio book of "Secret Memoirs of Mary Shelley" is planned for release July 2018, available on Audible, Amazon Books, ITunes, and wherever audio books are sold or available for download.
