SAN ANTONIO - June 6, 2018 - PRLog -- The Defense Leadership Forum today announced the 5th-annual Army Contracting Summit to be held from June 18-19, 2018 at the Westin Riverwalk in San Antonio, TX.

The Summit brings together key military commanders and contracting officials, small businesses, prime defense contractors, and federal government resource agencies to understand the military's mission and contracting priorities, to educate businesses about contracting opportunities and procedures, and to help prime defense contractors identify prospective subcontractors. The Army FY18 budget request for $137.2 billion - and the contracts it will support - will be the main topic during dozens of presentations, panels, and matchmaking sessions.

"The 2018 Army Contracting Summit is extremely well-timed," noted Howard Snow, Summit moderator and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Installations, Facilities, and Energy. "The entire $700 billion 2018 defense budget, including the Army budget, must be contracted out by September 30 of this year. We bring together the key stakeholders to identify the best defense solutions from industry and to accelerate the contracts needed to acquire and implement the solutions."

The 2018 Army Contracting Summit will provide defense contractors and businesses nationwide with the latest information on:
