News Sales Office in SOuthern China for Siborg Systems Inc

The Canadian based hardware and software company establishes contacts in Southern China for local sales office and manufacturing
 
SHENZHEN, China - June 5, 2018 - PRLog -- In May, the Director of Siborg Systems Inc. visited Shenzhen to establish new manufacturing links. During the trip, an agreement for a new sales office was established. Obrecht trip included plans to create new manufacturing contacts in order to save costs on building Siborg's LCR-Reader multimeter devices.

The visit included touring manufacturers and assembly companies of PCBs as well as plastic and metal mold companies. These companies will be considered for creating the newest models of test devices under the LCR-Reader trademark. Siborg also held meetings and discussions regarding a new office.

These meetings took place with Andy Leman, an entrepreneur in Baoan, Shenzhen, China; Siborg and Andy also met with Shenzhen Polytechnic and Southern University of Science and Technology. It was at this meeting where Andy was chosen as Siborg's representative in China; his duties will include being the primary distributor for all of China and Southeast Asia for Siborg's hardware and software products. These products include LCR-Reader and Smart Tweezers devices and MicroTec Semiconductor Process and Device Simulation Software.

Siborg is releasing a new model of LCR-Reader-MP in 2018 and toured Shenzhen HTX Precision Hardware Co. to discuss current issues Siborg is having with the new device. Manufacturing certain pieces has become an issue, and with help from Shenzhen HTX Precision Hardware Co., these could be past issues.

Some of the plastic mold manufacturers included Shenzhen Lafer Technology Co., Alpine Mold, Dongguan Hensim Rubber and Plastic Technology Co. These companies offer highly flexible arrangements for plastic part manufacturing for the new MP model. Siborg was impressed with all the companies, but the bottom line is price. Dongguan Hensim Rubber and Plastic Technology Co. showed the most advanced manufacturing capabilities for the new pieces Siborg needs.

Another part to consider was PCBs; Siborg toured a few PCB assembly companies of varying sizes. Each company have a reasonable lead time of 5-7 weeks due to their labour efficiency and wide range of available machinery. These PCB companies included ChinaPCBOne, a full cycle PCB manufacturer and assembly provider. Other companies, like Shenzhen Sunsoar Circuit Co., Shenzhen Eastwin Ltd. and Wanfeng Circuit Co. are considered, though they subcontract third parties due to lack of their own PCB manufacturing facilities.

LCR-Reader and Smart Tweezers [http://www.lcr-reader.com] are handheld digital multimeters with the ability to identify components with just a touch. When a component is grasped between the gold-plated tweezer tips, the device will determine the type of component, and best test range, signal and mode to use. All measurement values, including any secondary values, i.e: ESR, are automatically made  available on the device's OLED display. LCR-Reader tests with a 0.5% basic accuracy and fixed 0.5Vrms test signal; Smart Tweezers offers a 0.1% basic accuracy, variable test signals of 0.25 to 1.0 Vrms and features such as offset subtraction, diode/continuity testing and variable test ranges.

A Bluetooth enabled Smart Tweezers is also available. This device is able to connect to PC, Android and iOS devices over a virtual connection for remote recording of measurement values. A recent update to the device allows the connection software to send information to the Smart Tweezers device; when users are connected, they can create a virtual profile for which certain specifications can be set. When the test data is sent, the software will grant a pass or fail depending on if the component meets these specifications. All measurement values can be saved in a file or database for later processing. The ability to save all data is helpful where incoming quality control is required.

The newest device Siborg offers is the LCR-Reader-MP. This device offers the highest basic accuracy (0.1%) of all Smart Tweezers and LCR-Reader devices. It also offres features such as automatic/manual L, C, R, ESR measurements, LED/Diode and continuity tests, current/AC/DC voltage measurements, oscilloscope transient voltage display, Large Capacitance test mode up to 680 mF, signal generator, pulse period and duty cycle measurements, two test signal levels with automatic test signal reduction, frequency meter, and variable test frequencies.
